As many as 703 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,214 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 703 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which two import ones. As many as 235,790 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 19 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 5, medical assistants –9 and auxiliary staff -5.

As many as 3,931 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 322 are in extremely serious condition (55 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 9,600 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 19,088 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,387 people have been treated. As many as 216,478 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 42 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,178 people have died of coronavirus in all.
