Leova high school benefits from energy efficiency

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRE/- Works to increase energy efficiency are carried out at Constantin Spătaru high school in Leova under a project implemented by the South Regional Development Agency and funded by the European Union.
The Agency management together with specialists of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) recently monitored the works, moving on the spot.
Construction work at the high school in Leova started in November 2020 and is to be completed by the end of this year. The total cost of the construction works within the project is about 53 million lei, of which 2.5 million lei is the local contribution of the Leova District Council and the City Hall of Leova.
The Leova high school benefits from a lot of modernization and energy efficiency measures, including roof rehabilitation, building wall insulation, window replacement, heating system rehabilitation, hot and cold water supply to school faucets, renovation health facilities inside the institution. Following the implemented measures, about 640 students, teachers and support staff will benefit from improved working conditions and a comfortable study environment.
The project is funded by the EU, implemented by ADR Sud and project - Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova (MSPL). The MSPL project is funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and carried out by GIZ Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
