Leova city to benefit from modern EU-funded sewerage

Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/- About seven hundred households in Leova will have access to a centralized sewerage system, as a result of the construction of 13.5 km of internal networks. The new pipelines are being built under an investment measure, financially supported by the European Union.
The start of construction works within this project, implemented by the South Regional Development Agency and the Project Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova was given in October 2020. Or, so far, the network sewerage is built of 50 percent, and about 60% of the planned number of consumers were connected to the new sewerage network.
"The works are carried out in a normal regime, without deviations from the execution schedule. With the consent of the local public administration, some works were carried out to cut the asphalt pavement on a section with a length of 60 meters. Entrepreneur said that for the most part, the consumer connection works were executed on roads mainly made of gravel ”, according to ADR Sud.
"Through this project, the European Union provides support for improving the lives of Moldovans, contributing to a better water supply and sewerage infrastructure in rural areas. Thanks to European investments, citizens of the Southern Development Region will have access to quality public services , modern and sustainable water supply and sanitation ", ADR Sud director Maria Culesov said.
The project is funded by the EU and implemented by ADR Sud and MSPL project.
MSPL is funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
