42 parties submitted reports on financial management for 2020 to electoral body

Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced today that 42 political parties, out of the 50 officially registered in the Republic of Moldova have submitted annual report on financial management for 2020.
Only 30 of them submitted the report in accordance with the regulations, both through the computer system Financial Control and on paper, and another 12 used only one way.
At the same time, eight political parties did not fulfill their reporting obligations, among them: the Workers' Party, the NEW HISTORICAL OPTION Party, the United Moldova Party, the Democracy at Home Party, RENAISSANCE Party, PEACE Party, For People, Nature and Animals Party.
Under the legislation, the political parties had to present the annual report on financial management for 2020 by 31 March. Failure to present the report within the term and format established according to the law is a violation of the legal provisions on financial management of political parties. This is considered an offense.
