Six billion lei processed through MPay service in early 2021

Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/- Over 6 billion lei had been transferred to citizens since the beginning of this year through the government's electronic payment MPay. This is a new record for the MPay platform, which this time refers to the distribution of social payments, the Electronic Government Agency (AGE) has reported.

According to the institution, starting this January, pensions, benefits, compensations and other types of social assistance are carried out automatically, thanks to the AGE, which came up with modern digital solutions and proposed the new payment method. "The new automated payment distribution system provides the necessary consistent support to the National Social Insurance House in order to make timely payments, in a transparent and efficient manner," says the Agency.

AGE said that the results recorded during this period, following the application of the electronic payment system MPay, proved a good optimization of the process of distribution of social payments, savings to the national budget, use of financial resources obtained in the interest of beneficiaries of social benefits.
