Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/- 21 passengers of Moldova-Poland route and bus driver were placed under self-isolation for 14 days after one of passengers presented a positive Covid-19 test at the border.
According to the Border Police, the incident took place on the evening of yesterday at the Criva border crossing point on the way out of the Republic of Moldova. After verifying the identity documents of the 21 passengers, the border police officers requested that the COVID-19 tests be presented as well. As a result, one of the passengers presented a test with a positive result in electronic format. He said he was feeling well and had no symptoms of Covid-19, so he did not wait for the results of the medical tests and set off for Poland.
According to the procedure, the man, a 40-year-old from Chisinau was isolated until the arrival of the 112 Service, and all the passengers and the driver were placed in self-isolation at home for 14 days.
A similar case took place last week at the same border crossing. In this context, the authorities recommend that participants in cross-border trafficking ensure that they have the proper documents, including the results of COVID-19 tests.
