As many as 1,155 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 7 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,596 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,155 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which six import ones. As many as 237,718 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 36 out of all cases are medical employees.

As many as 4,449 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 316 are in extremely serious condition (54 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 1,105 people have been treated. As many as 218,711 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 44 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,268 people have died of coronavirus in all.
