Works to improve water supply services underway in Falesti

Chisinau, 9 April /MOLDPRES/- In Falesti, construction-assembly works are under way within a project to improve water supply services, funded by the European Union. Thanks to the project, over 15,000 residents will have access to safe drinking water.
The specialists of the North Regional Development Agency (ADR) paid a monitoring visit this week to collect facts about execution of the works within the project. "Together with the parties involved in the project implementation process, parts of the supply in the process of installation were monitored. It was found that the works within the project are executed according to the schedule ", sources from ADR Nord said.
Following the project, the water supply networks in Falesti will be expanded by 2.4 km and 2.6 km of supply networks will be built. According to the contract, signed in late November 2020, the works to improve the water supply services in Falesti are to be executed within ten calendar months. The contract amounts to 35.49 million lei, of which 3.31 million lei is co-financing of Falesti city hall.
The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by ADR Nord and the project Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova (MSPL). The MSPL project is funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
