Consumers' disconnection from power supply to be sanctioned in Moldova

Chisinau, 9 April /MOLDPRES/ - The deliberate disconnection of consumers from power supply will be sanctioned under law. The MPs today voted a draft law to this effect in the first reading.
The document sees the sanctioning of the disconnection of the installation used by consumers from power supply till a period of 10 days of use expires, calculated from the date of the reception of the notice on disconnection in written form, sent after the non-payment of the current electric energy, issued and shipped to the consumer by the electricity provider. The fine is to amount up to 1,250 lei, imposed to the private person and up to 2,500 lei imposed to a decision-maker. The fine for the legal entity would stand at 5,000 lei.
According to the authors, the introduction of the interdictions is necessary, including for the adjusting of the legal framework.
