Chisinau, 9 April /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today approved, in the final reading, a draft law which establishes new general norms of calculation and enforcing of prices for the principal oil products.
The initiative belongs to MP Alexandru Oleinic. The lawmaker says that the law is meant to cease the abuses in the sector through the creation, in the long run, of an economic environment based on the market economy principles. ‘’The amendments to the law on oil products market, applied by the parliament in July 2018, under which the setting of prices was left up to the importers and traders of oils products, are unjustified,’’ Oleinic said.
He also said that the initiative was aimed at ensuring the establishment of as just as possible prices for petrol and diesel, taking into account the present fluctuations at the international and regional exchanges (Platts). Thus, the prices will be calculated for one litre, separately for each type of product and batch imported. The periodicity proposed for recalculation is of 14 days.
