Transnistrian region to receiver another 2,000 anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ - Tiraspol representatives today took over 120 doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine out of the 942 doses, which were distributed for free to settlements from the left bank of Dniester and Bender city. As many as 822 out of these doses were taken on 6 April 2021.
According to the Reintegration Policies Bureau, as a result of a notification submitted through the channel of dialogue of the political representatives, through which Chisinau informed about its willingness to submit for free another 2,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, out of a new consignment of donation on behalf of Romania for Moldova, competent specialists from the region took the set of accompanying documents and on the days to come, they are to return to give the final touches to the formalities needed, to carry the vaccines and administer them in the country’s eastern districts, according to the distribution instructed by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry.
At the same time, besides those 2,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, 2,000 syringes of 0.5 ml are to be taken from the National Warehouses of Vaccines from the National Public Health Agency for the vaccination process, as well as 20 safety boxes for collecting the syringes used.
