As many as 603 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,330 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 603 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which four import ones. As many as 241,820 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), six out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 3, medical assistants –2 and auxiliary staff -1.

As many as 3,431 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 303 are in extremely serious condition (47 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 7,583 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 18,725 are under supervision at home.

Another 895 people have been treated. As many as 223,822 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 21 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,409 people have died of coronavirus in all.
