Over 14,000 citizens requested ambulance last week

Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/- On 5 -11 April this year, 14210 requests for emergency medical assistance were registered with the Dispatch Department of the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Care.

According to the Center, about 25% of the total number of requests is respiratory emergencies - 3,476 requests, including 1,310 cases due to acute viral respiratory infections.

20 percent of the calls received by the Emergency Service are due to cardiovascular emergencies - 2,864, including 48 patients with acute coronary syndrome. Followed by neurological emergencies - 1,833 (13%), including 223 strokes.

Last week, 39 road accidents were registered on the country's routes, as a result of which 44 people suffered. Subsequently, 37 patients were transported to hospital emergency units for additional medical care.
