As many as 544 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,352 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 544 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 242,364 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), nine out of all cases are medical employees: medical assistants –5 and auxiliary staff -4.

As many as 3,345 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 293 are in extremely serious condition (41 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 6,714 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 18,291 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,214 people have been treated. As many as 225,036 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 29 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,438 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also a dentist from the Balti city. As many as 110 medical employees have died because of COVID-19 till present.
