Moldovan president receives accreditation letters on behalf of more ambassadors

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu received the accreditation letters on behalf of three ambassadors agree at an official ceremony held today, the presidential press service has reported.
Thus, the following diplomats presented the letters of accreditation:
- Her Excellency, Mrs. Lea Stančič, Bucharest-based Ambassador of Slovenia,
- His Excellency, Mr. Stanislav Kázecký, Ambassador of the Czech Republic, as well as
- His Excellency, Mr. Lorenzo Tomassoni, Ambassador of Italy.
The head of state wished the ambassadors success in their work in Moldova. The sides exchanged opinions on the pandemic situation and overcoming the consequences of the sanitary crisis. A subject discussed regarded the country’s request, earlier sent to the partner countries’ governments, to consider possibility to sell or donate vaccines for Moldova’s citizens.
Maia Sandu thanked the Czech Republic for the valuable support provided to Moldova in the pandemic. At the same time, the Moldovan president expressed confidence that the quite close relations with Italy, strengthened during the mandate of the previous ambassador, would continue in a similar dynamic in the long run as well. In the discussion with the Slovenian ambassador, the interlocutors agreed on increasing the social and economic exchanges between the two countries.
Moldova’s Presidency will back all initiatives for the consolidation of the bilateral relations and turning to good account of the present potential in all sectors of common interest.
