Moldovan government rules to release food wheat from state reserves

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/ - The acting government, at a today’s meeting, took a decision on the release of food wheat from the state reserves, in order to refresh it with difference of time or as loan.  

Under the cabinet’s decision, the Material Reserves Agency is authorized to release 20,787.062 tons of food wheat from state reserves, in order to refresh it with difference of time or as loan, to economic agents, on contract basis, according to the way and form established in the Civil Code of Moldova, with the presentation of a bank or financial guarantee, the quantum of which will provide the quantity of assets taken out of stocks, as well as based on the payment in advance of the bill for loan, in the conditions of lack of debts to state reserves.     

„Till 10 May 2021, the food wheat from the state reserves, in order to refresh it with difference of time or as loan, will be released to economic agents producers of bread, bread products, miller’s trade and the ones from the animal husbandry sector. After 10 May 2021, in case of lack of requests of economic agents envisaged, economic agents from the category of responsible depositors or from other categories can participate in the procedure of refreshing with difference of time or as loan,’’ the document reads.    

The return of food wheat released from the state reserves will be made from the harvest of this year, in the same quantity and quality, till 1 October 2021.   

The control over the carrying out of this decision is entrusted with the Interior Ministry. This decision enters into force on the date of its publication in Moldova’s Official Journal.
