Moldovan painter, drawer says he illustrates two magazines for children, teenagers

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/ - A painter, drawer and teacher in the artistic education sector, Merited Arts Master Alexei Colibneac presently illustrates two magazines for children and teenagers, Alunelul and Noi. ‘’I have been doing this with pleasure for many decades in a row, just as I have illustrated books for them. I love children: they are more sensitive than we, the adults,’’ Colibneac said.
Alexei Colibneac also said that the aforementioned publications were among the few ones from Moldova which reach the territory, the readers on paper. The two publications have a quite important educative and aesthetic weight, the drawer noted.
Alexei Colibneac was born in the Drepcauti village, northern Briceni district, on 25 December 1943. He graduated from the A. Plamadeala Republican Fine Arts College from Chisinau in 1962, the School of Sculpture and Architecture I. Repin from Leningrad, graphic section, in 1971. He had numerous exhibitions in Moldova and abroad. In 2003, Colibneac became member of the Russian Orthodox Academy of Sciences and Arts. He was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen diploma of the International Board on Books for Young People in Basel, Switzerland, in 2006. His works were purchased by the National Fine Arts Museum of Moldova, as well as other prestigious museums: Tretyakov galleries from Moscow, Nakamura from Japan, Art-Avangard from Moinesti, Romania, etc.
