Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/- The 16 April Official Journal published the government's decision on approving the amount of financial aid granted to beneficiaries of international protection in 2021.

Under the decision, the amount for 2021 of the financial aid for beneficiaries of international protection in Moldova will be 1,307 lei.

"The amount represents 15% of the average monthly salary per economy for this year, worth 8,715 lei", the document reads.

Last year, this amount was 1,192 lei.

According to the Regulation on granting financial assistance to beneficiaries of international protection, the refugee or humanitarian protection applicant requesting the financial assistance submits an application and a copy of the identity document to the Office for Migration and Asylum.

Applications for financial aid can be submitted within two months of the date of granting refugee status. According to the data, in 2011-2019, 114 people benefited from the aid.
