Moldovan president meets representatives of Armenian community

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu met this morning with spiritual leader of Armenians in Moldova Nzhdeh Keshishyan and Vice President of the Armenian community in Moldova Ghenadii Babaian, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state noted that Armenians have lived on this earth for centuries and are an integral part of our people, and the Armenian Church sf.Maica Domnului is one of the oldest places in Chisinau, built in 1804. Maia Sandu thanked the distinguished people for good wishes, peace and health and willingness to contribute to the unification of society and our common goals.
The official said that for 30 years, some have tried to divide us by ethnicity, language and other characteristics. "Unfortunately, so far some politicians continue to manipulate people. However, the time has come to understand that only together we can build a happy society and we will succeed in making our common home - Moldova - a truly strong and prosperous country, " Maia Sandu said.
