Exhibition dedicated to physicians by Moldovan painter opened at Chisinau-based hospital

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/ - A personal painting exhibition titled, The people in white coveralls, by fine artist Galina Vieru, was opened at the Republican Clinical Hospital on 15 April.
The exhibition has 20 works with various topics, but in the same context: vernacular architecture, still life with national shirt, figurative compositions – all these having in common elements from the traditional ornament, chromatics and landscape.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Galina Vieru said that the idea to pay homage to physicians through painting had been for a long time in her soul, as her mother made more treatments in the aforementioned hospital and also died there.
In the context, the head of the neurosurgery section of the Republican Clinical Hospital, Eduard Eftodi, said that the exhibition, The people in white coveralls, was quite nice and relevant. ‘’It is just as a poem, in which each person sees what he/she feels. It is like a therapy for the employees of our institution,’’ Eduard Eftodi noted. a afirmat că expoziția ”Lumea din halatul alb” este foarte frumoasă și relevantă. ”Aceasta este ca o poezie în care fiecare vede ceea ce simte. Este ca o terapie pentru colaboratorii instituției noastre”, a constatat Eduard Eftodi.
Galina Vieru was born in the Putintei village, central Orhei district, in 1983. She graduated from the Fine Arts and Design Faculty of the Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University from Chisinau in 2005. Afterwards, Vieru had master education at the same institution during 2005-2006. In 2006-2007, she was teacher of fine art education at the Chisinau-based Nicolae Balcescu theoretical lyceum, as well as at the Univers Moldova vocational school, where she taught design. In 2012-2014, Galina Vieru had personal exhibitions at the National Library of Moldova, Organ Hall, B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library, Chisinau-based Consulate of Romania, Palace hall from Bucharest.
The exhibition will be opened till the Easter Holidays.
