Moldovan fine artist celebrates 60th birth anniversary

Chisinau, 21 April /MOLDPRES/- Fine artist Virgil Tecuci, winner of several awards in painting, today celebrates 60th birth anniversary.

He participated in group exhibitions abroad: in Moscow (1988), in Iasi (1990), Constanța (1991). In 1998, 2000 and 2002 he was present at the International Cartoon Biennale in Zagreb, Croatia and in 2001-2002 - Aydin International cartoon Exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey.

Since 1991, Virgil Tecuci is a member of the Fine Artists Union of Moldova. In 2012-2016 he was head of the Decorative Art Department. He is currently a professor of decorative art at the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts of Moldova. He also paints with his colleagues churches in different parts of the country. It works primarily with glass, but sometimes combines it with other materials: wood glass, metal glass.

His works can be found in private collections in Canada, Belgium, Montenegro, Romania, Italy etc.

Virgil Tecuci was awarded the prize for decorative art, Autumnala-2015 Contest Exhibition, graphic prize -Autumnala-2016 Exhibition-Contest, decorative art prize -Autumnala-2018 Contest-Exhibition, diploma of merit awarded by the Metropolitan Church of Chisinau and All Moldova 2019.
