As many as 100,000 people vaccinated against Covid-19 in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 April /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 100,000 doses of anti-COVID vaccines have been administered in Moldova so far.
According data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 75,778 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, 23,037 doses of Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine and 1,185 doses of Sinopharm vaccine were administered in Moldova’s vaccination centres.
Thus, the coverage with vaccines is of 2.5 per cent among the general population. The medical sector employees have been vaccinated at the level of 62 per cent, the ones of the education sector – 28 per cent and about 30 per cent of the staff and beneficiaries of the asylums and temporary and long-term placement centres were vaccinated.
At the same time, the authorities informed about an 82.5-er cent decrease in the morbidity through the COVID-19 infection among the medical employees. Thus, while till the beginning of the vaccination campaign, the share of medical employees infected with coronavirus of all the number of cases registered was of about 12 per cent, in the 15th week, it dropped to only 3 per cent.
