Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today voted a declaration by the Party of Socialists (PSRM) on the recognizing of the captive character of the Constitutional Court (CCM) and gave a vote of no confidence to three CCM magistrates. Fifty four MPs voted for the document’s adoption.
The lawmakers of the factions of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) and Dignity and Truth Platform Party (PPDA) did not participate in the voting and walked out of the session hall, while the MPs of the Pro Moldova faction abstained from voting.
According to the PSRM lawmakers, the declaration was worked out following the adoption by the High Court of the decision from 15 April on the existence of the circumstances for the parliament’s dissolution.
The declaration’s text reads that the parliament does not recognize the CCM decision from 15 April and gives vote of no confidence to the constitutional judges: Domnica Manole, Nicolae Rosca and Liuba Sova.
PSRM said that the Court ‘’left the track and ignored its own jurisprudence and the practices of the international institutions.’’ Also, CCM ignored the opinion of the Venice Commission and allowed the Moldovan president to dissolve the parliament, despite the existence of all elements necessary for the government’s swearing in office.
According to PSRM, the CCM’s ruling worsened the political crisis and is aimed at usurping the state power.
