Laureates of GALEX National Prizes, tenth issue, nominated in Moldova

Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/ - The National Library of Moldova (BNRM), in cooperation with the Alexe Rau League of Librarians from Moldova, today organized the Gala of the Laureates of the GALEX National Prizes, the tenth issue, 2021, on the World Book and Copyright Day and the Librarian Day, traditionally.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the League of Librarians from Moldova, Aliona Tostogan, said that the goal of this event was to promote and stimulate the work of the librarians and private people and legal residents who, by their actions, back the development of the library as info-documentary structure of strategic importance, being the most important civil service of stocking and spreading the information in a community and on behalf of the community.

The prize of the best backer of policies and programmes on turning to account the cultural heritage went to Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to Moldova Anatoliy Kalinin.

The prize for the best librarian of the 2021 year from the libraries of the national system of libraries was awarded to Elena Belschi.
