About 21,000 Chisinau residents vaccinated against COVID-19

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/- In Chisinau, about 21,000 people received at least the first dose of serum against COVID-19. Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban made the statement today.

The local authorities will come up with the proposal to the relevant authorities to start the third stage of vaccination against COVID-19 in Chisinau.

"Currently we have enough doses of vaccine to give everyone in the capital the opportunity to be immunized against coronavirus. It is not normal to keep vaccines in refrigerators. Currently, the Astra Zeneca vaccine is available at the Municipal Vaccination Center and in the polyclinics in the municipality, recently Sputnik V reached Chisinau, and soon we will have the serum purchased by the Government ", said Ceban.

"We have requested that the vaccination capacities in the Immunization Center and in the vaccination points be increased, including with the extension of the immunization program on Saturdays and Sundays - according to the decision of the Chisinau Emergency Commission. Although we are in the fifth week of decreasing the number of coronavirus diseases, I ask everyone to continue to be careful and to follow the recommendations of doctors and authorities ", he said.
