As many as 329 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,336 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 329 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which two import ones. As many as 249,714 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), eight out of all cases are medical employees: medical assistants -4, auxiliary staff employees - 4.

As many as 2,121patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 225 are in extremely serious condition (36 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,195 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,631 are under supervision at home.

Another 489 people have been treated. As many as 238,423 people were treated ofCOVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 17 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,762 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also a physician who had worked at the Falesti District Hospital. As many as 115 medical employees have died because of the COVID-19 infection till present.
