Cahul municipality supported by Romania

Chisinau, 29 April /MOLDPRES/- Cahul mayor Nicolae Dandiş met yesterday in Bucharest with Speaker of Romania's Chamber of Deputies Ludovic Orban. They discussed the development of a memorandum of support from Romania for Cahul, signed last year.

The officials referred to the use of the support from the Romanian government, which provides for social projects in Cahul.

"There was talk about the repair of the five-story home in the center of the town, a project with a budget of about two million euros, other potential projects for Cahul in various fields, about forms of health support, the need to approve budgets and grant programs managed of diplomatic missions for local institutions and communities, including the creation of the legal framework for financial support (co-financing from Romania's national budget) of programs carried out by local authorities with twinning agreements, other proposals to improve assistance tools and policies, vision, communication and planning in various fields ", Cahul city hall said.
