Emergency state in public health sector with needed restrictive measures maintained in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/ - The extraordinary public health commission of the Chisinau municipality (CESP) today established new measures, in the context of the pandemic situation triggered by COVID-19. Thus, the Red Code alert degree is established in the Moldovan capital, with the maintenance of the emergency state in the public health sector, based on the indicator of incidence with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
According to the Commission, the measures of prevention and control of the COVID-19 infection are preserved: the compulsory wearing of protection masks in all public open and closed spaces on the territory of the Chisinau city, including in the street and in public transport (the mask must cover both the mouth and nose); observance of the physical distance between people; observance of the hands’ hygiene rules, as well as the respiratory hygiene ones; the presence in public places (woods, alleys, beaches, etc.) is recommended to take place in groups made up of less than three persons, except for the members of a family; people older than 63 years are recommended to avoid presence outside their homes and in public places without urgent need.
Also, CESP establishes the regime of work of the agro-food markets and non-food markets in the time interval 6:00-18:00, with sanitary days on each Monday. At the same time, the commercial centres and the specialized trade units from the Chisinau city will work till 18:00.
The commission recommends the holding of religious services outside the churches, in open air, using sound systems and online broadcasting, as case may be, with the observance of the public health rules and measures of prevention and control of the COVID-19 infection, by keeping the distance of 1 metre between people and compulsory wearing of protection mask (the mask should cover the nose and mouth). The flow of people will be guided, so that to avoid the formation of crowds.
At the same meeting, the extraordinary public health commission of the Chisinau municipality ruled to allow the organization of cultural events with the physical presence of people up to 20 people, in libraries (book launches, meetings with writers, training programmes for the public, etc.), with the observance of the public health measures of preventing the Covid-19 infection.
Under the decision adopted, the municipal authorities further ask for the support of the Interior Ministry and the General Inspectorate of Carabineers for the control of the rules of public health and of preventing the spread of the Covid-19 infection, in the street and in public transport’s stops from the Chisinau municipality.
