Moldovan writer prepares new book of poems for printing

Chisinau, 7 May /MOLDPRES/ - A poet, literary critic Maria Pilchin has prepared a new volume of poems titled, Tu ești rusul cel bun (You are the good Russian) for printing.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Maria Pilchin said that it was about 26 poems. ‘’Some of the poems are more extended, the others are minimalistic. The texts contain cultural references (Anna Karenina, Sapho), historical ones (Chapayev, Kotovsky) and geographical references (Paris, Moscow, Falesti, Pitesti, Ploiesti, Costinesti, Siberia),’’ the writer said.
The volume appeared with the support of the Education, Culture and Research Ministry and was approved by the selection commission for editing the national book.
Maria Pilchin was born in the Rautel village, Falesti district, on 26 January 1982. In 2004, she graduated from the Faculty of Letters of Moldova’s State University (USM) and in 2006 – the USM Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures and in 2012 – the Faculty of Business and Business Administration of Moldova’s Academy of Economic Studies. Pilchin wrote more books of poems, literary critique, essays, etc.
Maria Pilchin was awarded the Cultural Merit Order in the rank of knight, A Category, Literature, provided by Romania’s President (2018), Prize of the Moldovan Writers’ Union for a book of essay, literary critique and history (2018), Mircea Ciobanu Prize for Poems of the Romanian Writers’ Union in 2016, Prize of Moldova’s Academy of Sciences, young researchers category, etc.
