As many as 191 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 4,525 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 191 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 252,604 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one medical employee (a physician) has been recorded out all the number of infection cases.

As many as 1,457 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 177 are in extremely serious condition (28 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus.

In the context, 1,611 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,546 are under supervision at home.

Another 399 people have been treated. As many as 243,195 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 14 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,943 people have died of coronavirus in all.
