EU Ambasador to Moldova awarded Order of Honour

Chisinau, 9 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu, on the occasion of Europe Day, today awarded the Order of Honour to Ambassador of the European Union to Moldova Peter Michalko, as a token of gratitude for the constant support provided to Moldova’s citizens in the efforts to live in democracy and well-being, the presidential press service has reported.    

„Mr. Ambassador Michalko has special merits in the promotion of the European values in our country. I thank him, on behalf of the Moldovan citizens, for the continuous support, for the fact that he is always by our side in our approach for freedom and rule of law state, for backing the reforms which are to improve the people’s living standards, including through numerous development projects, present in diverse fields in all districts of the country,’’ President Maia Sandu said.  

The head of state said that Peter Michalko was a friend of Moldova and thanked for the support provided to the country on the period of his mandate. ‘’Thank you, Mr. Ambassador Michalko! Thank you, the European Union!’’ the Moldovan president said.
