Over 5,800 citizens requested ambulance on weekend

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/- On 8-10 May, 5,856 requests for emergency medical assistance were registered at the Dispatch Department of the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance.

According to the Center, during this period the people with cardiovascular emergencies called most often for help - 1198 requests, followed by respiratory ones - 844 and neurological ones - 779 requests.

For 72 hours, 650 citizens with various injuries received first aid at the pre-hospital stage. AMU teams were called in for 17 road accidents, which resulted in 21 people, including eight minors.

During the period, 24 people with toxic emergencies requested the Emergency Service. The ambulance doctors intervened to provide first aid for 10 people who were intoxicated with drugs and for seven who suffered alcohol intoxication.
