Moldovan deputy premier has technical discussions with representatives of Berlin Economics GmbH

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Deputy Prime Minister Olga Cebotari today participated in a working meeting in videoconference format with representatives of Berlin Economics GmbH, along with Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Claus Neukirch and EU High-Level Adviser for promotion of confidence building measures, Kalman Mizsei, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The main subject of the discussions represented the banking issues, in the context of the business relations established by the licenced banks from Moldova with clients residents from the Transnistrian region and the exchange of visions on the present problems and potential ways of solving them.
Acting Deputy PM Olga Cebotari welcomed the activity carried out in Moldova by experts of Berlin Economics GmbH, the topic-related studies and reports produced, projects implemented, as well as their intention, jointly with the OSCE Mission in Moldova, to continue providing technical expertise and sectoral consultancies in the financial and banking sector for the good understanding and observance by the economic agents from both banks of Dniester or the requirements of compliance at the carrying out of international payment transactions.
Also, the sides reviewed the national and international legal framework in the concerned sector and the need to ensure the compliance with the exigencies set in the legislation in force and the international commitments Moldova is party to.
The acting deputy prime minister thanked the experts for involvement in the process and detecting the present problems. Cebotari reiterated the need to maintain an interactive cooperation, in order to ensure the full compliance with the current requirements, established by the national and international normative framework.
