Moldovan citizens can be vaccinated against COVID-19 at immunization marathon organized in Iasi

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - Moldovan citizens can be vaccinated against Covid-19 at the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Iasi (UMF Iasi), Romania. The action will be held on 14-16 May 2021 and Moldova’s citizens can get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine based on the Moldovan identity card or the biometric passport or Romanian identity card.   

UMF Iasi Rector Viorel Scripcariu has made statements to this effect in an official letter sent to his counterpart from the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Emil Ceban.

According to the Romanian university, starting from 14 May at 16:00, till 17 May, 8:00, any person who has turned 16 years can come to UMF Iasi (Universitatii Street, 16), without scheduling, in order to be immunized with the first Pfizer vaccine dose. A written agreement of a parent or legal tutor is necessary for minors.     

Twenty vaccination flows will be set at UMF Iasi. More than 1,000 members of the University academic community will get involved in this far-reaching action, which will be held 24 hours.  

The second dose will be administered at UMF Iasi 21 days after the first dose, in week-end, on 4-6 June 2021.

The marathon is organized by UMF Iasi, in partnership with the Public Health Department and College of Physicians from Iasi, Order of Medical Assistants Generalists, Midwives and Medical Assistants from Romania, Iasi branch, Prefect’s Office, Iasi City Hall and County Council, as well as the National Committee of Coordination of the Activities as to Vaccination against COVID-19 from Romania.
