Tomai village from Gagauzia to participate in ecological project

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/- Tomai town hall in Gagauzia has signed an agreement with a company specialized in producing "green energy". The company will benefit from 19 hectares of land, leased for 30 years, the regional press has reported.

There the investor will install panels for production of solar energy. The document was signed at the Agency for Attracting Investments from the Gagauz autonomy, which manages this project.

Tomai mayor Fiodor Topciu pointed out several benefits that the territorial-administrative unit will get as a result of the implementation of the project.

"The payment for the land lease is 557 thousand lei per year, the land tax is 20 thousand lei, and the amount of reimbursement of expenses for electricity consumption within the village institutions, as well as street lighting is 238 thousand lei per year" , he said, quoted by gagauzinfo.md.

The investor expects to open up to 30 new jobs in Tomai.
