Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/- Authorities in the country together with a design company are under identifying technical variants of placing the access roads to the bridge over the Dniester River near Cosăuți (Republic of Moldova) and Yampil (Ukraine) to be built, the State Road Administration (ASD) has reported.
According to ASD, the feasibility study is currently being set up to establish the position of the cross-border road bridge over the Dniester River, including the access roads to it. „The access road with a length of about 5 km is expected near the localities of Cosăuți and Iorjnița, reaching the bypass of Soroca. This road will ensure the connection between the bridge over the Dniester with the national road R14.1 R14 - Cosăuți - border with Ukraine and will be built from the financial means of the Republic of Moldova ", the quoted source said.
The bridge over the Dniester River, located between Cosăuți in Soroca district and the Ukrainian city of Yampil will be about 362 meters long and will provide a transit corridor for the territory of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union, reducing travel time from Chisinau to Kiev.
