Moldovan president participates in discussion on Moldova in Germany, organized by Konrad Adenauer Foundation

Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu, on the first day of her visit to Berlin, today had a meeting with the president of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), Norbert Lammert, and the KAS deputy secretary general, Gerhard Wahlers, the presidential press service has reported.
„The foundation supports numerous projects of expertise and development of the democratic institutions and civil society of Moldova. We exchanged opinions on the political developments in Moldova and in the region; we referred to my plans of reformation of the public system from the country and our European agenda,’’ the head of state said.
President Maia Sandu participated, along with the KAS president and deputy secretary general, in a discussion in Chatham House format, with journalists, experts and researchers in the international relations sector, interested in Moldova and our region. ‘’We discussed my priorities for the country, about reforms, risks and their prospects following the next July snap elections, as well as about our region’s security and Moldova’s European integration,’’ Maia Sandu said.
During the two-day visit to Berlin today, the Moldovan president had a meeting with the president of Germany and the federal chancellor.
