President, German officials discuss Moldova's European agenda

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/- On an official visit to Berlin, President Maia Sandu discussed with several members of the German Federal Parliament, from various political groups, the presidential press service has reported.
"I had a good exchange of views with Manuel Sarazzin, a member of the Green Party faction. We talked about the environmental challenges and policies in the Republic of Moldova, I told them about the presidential afforestation program and intention to prioritize, after the elections, the waste management programs in the communities ", said the head of state.
This morning, President Maia Sandu had lunch with Social Democrat MPs Johann Saathoff and Fritz Felgentreu. Fritz Felgentreu is also president of the German-Moldovan Forum, a platform set up to promote relations between the two countries, and Johann Saathoff is federal government's coordinator for the Eastern Partnership, Russia and Central Asia.
"We discussed the reform agenda I promote and I hope it will be achieved after the snap elections, security situation in the region, as well as the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova. We greatly appreciate Germany's support for restoring security in our region and the country's European integration, "said Maia Sandu.
