As many as 166 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,748 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 166 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which three import ones. As many as 254, 379 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), no medical employee was recorded among all cases registered.

As many as 818 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 109 are in extremely serious condition (19 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,234 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,374 are under supervision at home.

Another 293 people have been treated. As many as 245,803 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another eight deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,061 people have died of coronavirus in all.
