Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/- From 24 May at 08:00, the traffic through all border crossing points on the Moldovan-Romanian and Moldovan-Ukrainian segment will be restored both for passengers and transport of goods.
According to the Customs Service, the only border crossing point that will remain non-functional is Lipcani-Rădăuți Prut, as the Romanian side is not resuming its activity for the time being. Thus, the Moldovan authorities are unable to reopen the traffic through the crossing point.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, the Chisinau authorities decided that from 14 March 2020, the activity of several border crossing points with Romania and Ukraine should be stopped. So far, only 33 out of 81 border crossings were open to traffic.
The restrictions imposed during the pandemic will be maintained when crossing the state border.
