Moldovan electoral body registers first six candidates for snap elections

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission / CEC / registered at today's meeting first six electoral contestants for snap parliamentary elections of 11 July 2021.
The CEC members registered the following electoral entities: the electoral bloc of the Communists and Socialists (102 candidates); Political Party PACE (70 candidates); Political Party Joint Action - Civic Congress (101 candidates); RENATO USATÎI electoral bloc (103 candidates); Political Party Action and Solidarity Party (102 candidates); Shor Party (101 candidates).
At the same time, the electoral symbols of the candidates were registered, the representatives with the right to consultative voting in the CEC were confirmed during the electoral campaign and those responsible for finance (treasurers).
CEC announces that the parties registered today can start their election campaign. According to the electoral legislation, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, parties and other socio-political organizations, electoral blocs, candidates and trusted persons of candidates have the right to debate electoral programs of candidates, political, professional and personal skills of candidates, as well as to conduct electoral agitation in rallies, meetings with voters through media by displaying election posters or other forms of communication.
In this context, the CEC calls on candidates and media outlets to conduct an election campaign in strict accordance with the electoral law.
