Chisinau, 22 May /MOLDPRES/ - A Petrof piano has been donated to the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic. A concert for presenting the piano to the music-loving audience took place on this occasion on 21 May.
According to the Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC), the piano was donated by the enterprise Premier Energy Moldova and the Emma Capital group, with the support of the Czech Embassy in Moldova. The music concert was given by valuable artists of the Philharmonic.
Attending the event, Education, Culture and Research Minister Lilia Pogolsa thanked the donors, as well as all those who, after the last autumn fire, had provided financial support to remedy the huge losses of the National Philharmonic’s heritage.
The piano was produced by the biggest company from the Czech Republic and was made exclusively manually.
On 24 September 2020, the building of the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, the most important concert institution of Moldova, was devastated by a strong fire, which destroyed the musical instruments and stage equipment.
