As many as 102 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 22 May /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,193 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 102 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 254, 601 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), no medical employee was recorded among all cases registered.

As many as 746 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 106 are in extremely serious condition (18 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,172 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,242 are under supervision at home.

Another 252 people have been treated. As many as 246,332 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another five deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,072 people have died of coronavirus in all.
