Svetlii College, Gagauzia, provided with modern equipment

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/- A laboratory at the Agricultural Technical College in Svetli, Gagauzia, was provided with necessary equipment for practical training of future technicians in electrical installations. The action took place with the support of the European Union project DevRAM, Part I.
As a result of this achievement, about one hundred pupils will learn each year to repair and use electrical systems and equipment, as well as improve their professional skills of installation, operation, maintenance of electrical installations and distribution systems.
"The new standards on modern agriculture have dictated the need to set in the offer of technical vocational education institutions a new training course -Electrification of agriculture. The laboratory was provided with the necessary equipment to arrange two stands: "Electrical networks and installations" and "Installation and regulation of electrical installations in enterprises and civil constructions", State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MADRM ) Mihail Machidon said.
The DevRAM project, Part I, is being carried out with the support of Austria. According to Austrian Ambassador to our country Stella Avallone, "Austria and Moldova are closely linked through a wide range of activities in economy, security, social affairs, education and culture."
"Austrian Development Cooperation focuses on vocational and inclusive education, environmental protection, access to water resources and adaptation to climate change, as well as good governance, the rule of law and peacebuilding. Between 1997 and 2019, Austria provided Moldova with official development assistance worth about 58 million euros, "said Stella Avallone.
The European Union project DevRAM, Part I, provided assistance on several dimensions, the results including: improved technical and material base, training programs for managers, modernized practical training laboratories, etc. The project is implemented by the Austrian Development Cooperation in partnership with the PRO DIDACTICA Educational Center and the Donau Soja International Association (Austria). The program is implemented in seven technical vocational education institutions, and has an extensive impact on entire agricultural education in Moldova.
