Bomb alert at Chisinau Court proved to be false

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/- Police said that after checking Chisinau Court building, specialists of Bomteh service found no suspicious or explosive objects. A criminal case was initiated to this end.

According to police, the investigation and prosecution officers of IP Buiucani are taking all measures to identify the person who made the call, with prosecution required by law. If found guilty, the suspect risks a fine of 27,500 to 42,500 lei or unpaid community service from 180 to 240 hours, or imprisonment for up to two years.

This morning, at 08:14, the law enforcement officers were notified through the service 112. The call was made by a man who communicated that inside the Chisinau Courts, Buiucani and Centru headquarters, there is an explosive object. Law enforcement surrounded the area and evacuated all employees and citizens inside the building.
