Over 45,000 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine distributed to vaccination centers in Moldova

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/- A total of 45,294 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine were distributed proportionally yesterday at vaccination centers in the country.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, last week the Republic of Moldova received 100,620 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, which were offered free of charge through the COVAX platform.
The immunization campaign was launched on 2 March and 306,610 people have got vaccinated so far.
On 18 May, the National Vaccination Coordination Committee decided to launch third stage of vaccination against COVID-19. Thus, all people who want to be immunized against the new virus have access to serum in all vaccination centers in the country. For the administration of the vaccine, people can go to the family doctor or they can make an appointment through the platform www.vaccinare.gov.md.
