Over 13,000 citizens called ambulance last week

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/- On 17-23 May, 13,609 requests for emergency medical assistance were registered at the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance.

According to the Center, the most common requests were cardiovascular emergencies - 2973, including 46 patients with acute coronary syndrome. Neurological emergencies were 1991 cases, of which 253 strokes, followed by respiratory emergencies - 1870, of which 715 due to acute viral respiratory infections.

Traumatic emergencies - 1,284 requests. The intervention of the ambulance was requested for 50 people, who suffered as a result of road accidents. After receiving first aid, AMU teams transported 47 patients to the hospital to continue treatment in inpatient conditions.
