Moldovan acting PM has meeting with Romania's ambassador

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today received Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Daniel Ionita. The officials exchanged opinions on the Moldovan-Romanian relations and discussed the current epidemiological situation on the two banks of Prut, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The sides tackled subjects on the economic cooperation, implementation of cross-border projects of common interest, as well as prospects for the active development in infrastructure sectors.
The acting PM thanked for the support provided by the Romanian authorities in diverse fields during time, including for agriculture and combating the pandemic. In particular, Aureliu Ciocoi thanked the Romanian diplomat for the humanitarian assistance provided in the medical sector and the doses of vaccine delivered in due time, which are so necessary for starting the process of the residents’ immunization.
Daniel Ionita reiterated the Romanian state’s continuous willingness to provide the needed support to Moldova’s citizens in the fight against the Covid-19 virus. The Romanian ambassador to Moldova stressed the Bucharest government’s commitment in backing and encouraging Moldova as to the aspirations of integration in the European area.
