Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - The observance of human rights on the left bank of Dniester, combating the pandemic, free movement between the two banks of Dniester and ensuring the security in the region were among the subjects tackled by President Maia Sandu and Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for Transnistrian Settlement Process on behalf of Sweden Thomas Mayr-Harting today, the presidential press service has reported.
„I discussed with Mr. Mayr-Harting a fact-visit to Moldova by representative in the 3+2 format, planned for the next week and the conditions which should be met to resume the dialogue for the Transnistrian conflict settlement. I confirmed to Mr. Mayr-Harting that the residents from both banks of Dniester want a better living, jobs and economic opportunities, a sound environment and chance to have a future at home. We must achieve this desideratum by focusing on domestic reforms in the interest of all Moldova’s citizens,’’ Maia Sandu said.
The OSCE special representative for the Transnistrian settlement process is on a 23-25 May visit to Moldova.
