Moldovan president on visit to Calarasi district

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu was on a working visit to Călărași district yesterday, and spoke with representatives of local public authorities, doctors and entrepreneurs in the district, the presidential press service has reported.

„At the Calarasi District Council I discussed with mayors and local councilors about the need for equitable financing of development projects for communities. We talked about the situation in the education sector in Călărași, the way of adapting to the pandemic challenges and expectations of teachers and parents for this field ", said Maia Sandu.

Sandu thanked the doctors from Călărași district for the professional and human effort they made in the pandemic, sacrifice and dedication in saving human lives. "We now have sufficient quantities of vaccine and we must convince as many citizens as possible, in Calarasi and in the country, to get vaccinated to prevent serious cases of Covid-19. It is our chance to return to normalcy ", she said.

At the Business Incubator in Călărași, the head of state discussed with resident entrepreneurs about access to credit and consulting for business development. "The state must be the partner of the business environment, provide support and create conditions to encourage private initiative," Maia Sandu said.
